About Faith

Since the age of three, Faith Heigl-McGovern has been a music student. Her father, Reverend David Heigl, taught band, so naturally he wanted her to try everything from piano to saxophone. At the age of eight, a beautiful Celtic harp joined her other instruments; it soon became her favorite.

Faith studied for 15 years under Lisa Spurlock Gilmore, founder of The Louisville Harp Academy. Lisa was an award-winning student under the tutelage of Ann Yeung and Linda Wood Rollo. Lisa also took a master class with Susann McDonald. Faith attended a master class with Ann Yeung at the age of 17 at the University of Illinois –Champaign-Urbana.

Faith played in the Louisville Harp Academy Quartet from 2009-2014. The girls mostly played at Christmas events around Louisville and appeared on local TV/Radio shows and performed annually for The Christmas Carol inside Actor’s Theater of Louisville.

Faith participated in competitions throughout middle and high school. She advanced three times to the national level. She was a member of the Assembly of God Fine Arts National Orchestra in 2013 and 2014.

Faith attended harp schools in Israel from 2013-2015.

She has played many different events: Weddings, Funerals, Tea Parties, Church Services and Banquets, Department Store Events, Fashion Shows, Political Fundraisers, and Christmas Gatherings – any place a harp is welcome!

Her Repertoire consists of everything from Classical to Disney, Pop to Hymns, and Traditional Jewish and Holiday favorites.

She and her beautiful pedal harp would love to brighten the atmosphere of your next event.
